  • Portugal

We just had a whirlwind tour of Portugal. I had envisioned a nice relaxing time by the pool at our rental house with not too much adventure for my pregnant self and our toddler. But things don’t always work out as planned…the weather wasn't great so relaxing by the pool wasn’t as appealing as I would have hoped. It did however force us to get out and explore. It was beautiful. The tiles, iron and stonework were the most remarkable. Here are a few patterns that caught my eye. I started sketching designs immediately!

  • A Start

I have always been a blog fanatic. When I find a new one I like I will sit for hours and read it all the way back to the beginning. I just finished Pencil & Paper Co. and was so inspired by the writers.

I recently quit my day job, or retired to be a full time mom and pursue my own creative endeavors as I prefer to say. I had grand visions of carving out time to paint, but am amazed at how quickly the days go by and I don’t get to it. So this blog is my attempt at being accountable.

And here are a few of my other favorite blogs that I have gone back and read from the beginning:

    Elements of Style

    Savvy Home

    Studio McGee
